MCBW 2017

Last Friday evening around 300 guests responded literally to our call for an “open studio” and came beating down the door. We used our second time participating in the Munich Creative Business Week as a kind of house-warming event. An opportunity to invite friends over to see our cool new black office. Further, it was a chance to give clients, potential job applicants and the local design industry a look at our exhibition “Top Secret – Inside Automotive UX”. It exemplifies how our projects are defining the future and shows what happens when design, strategic thinking and technological know-how meet. In seven thematic clusters, our talented and attractive team presented projects like the Magic Mirror, voice-controlled interfaces via Amazon Echo and the motorcycle HoloLens master’s thesis “Augmented Vision One”. Other clusters gave insight into the creative and design process of automotive user interfaces, apps and hardware prototypes (presented by our good friends at Ideenion). The exhibit “Pioneers” is particularly dear to us as it reminds us of our roots. How the concept of an automotive user interface began, with hand sketches, drafts of clock dials and instrument clusters, by Florian’s mom Christine Gulden.

Dear icon incar team, like world champions you presented to guests, mixed “Inge Incar” drinks, and barbequed sausages on the rooftop terrace. Thank you so much for your involvement and enthusiasm!
