PRODUCTION HMI – THE DIGITAL INTERFACE IN THE VEHICLE
Together with our customers, we design and develop complete HMI systems for series production. These include digital instrument clusters, infotainment systems, climate displays, rear seat entertainment systems and connected apps for “remote control” of vehicle functions. A series implementation takes between one and three years and brings all disciplines together: Concept, visual design, motion design, prototyping and design management have to go hand in hand to cope with this incredible complexity.
SHOWCARS – STORYTELLING IN THE PRODUCT EXPERIENCE
We develop and build concept vehicles and seat boxes for our customers – to check early series HMIs and to get an understanding for future interaction concepts. For EV start-ups, however, showcars also have a new symbolic role to play: they deliver the story and give the brand’s vision a face.
In order to be able to build everything from an e-scooter to a mobile car in series quality, fully networked and with functional interfaces, we work closely with our partner IDEENION Automobil for design and hardware.
ECOSYSTEMS & CONNECTIVITY: USER EXPERIENCE BEYOND THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE
One topic we have been working on intensively for several years now is Mobility Ecosystems, in which we look at mobility services in conjunction with other industries and customers in order to develop new business models. The creative approach to dealing with large amounts of data and a thorough understanding of business and technology are crucial here. In combination with the know-how and the global customer network of the iconmobile group, we are pioneers in this field.
RESEARCH & INNOVATION – "THINK MOONSHOT"
The automotive industry is facing extreme changes. We want to understand the drivers not only in terms of technological feasibility, but also in terms of their impact on the user experience. That’s why we work continuously on innovation projects in our own division and proactively drive forward our own developments in the areas of “augmented reality”, “automated driving” and “smart interactive systems”.
