Internship UX Design


We are constantly looking for talented visual design / user interface design interns, for each of our offices in Munich, Ingolstadt and Berlin, for 3-6 months.


As an icon incar intern, you work as part of our interdisciplinary team of visual designers, information architects and developers on automotive user experience design projects. We are a crazy bunch and live from our collective intelligence through exchanges, mutual inspiration and daily cooking in our large kitchen. You’d like to contribute something to our community, have a knack for designing super cool interfaces and are fearless when it comes to dealing with the digital world, agile prototyping and apps. You’re interested in the future of mobility, Internet of Things and other equally innovative topics. You’re curious, can see beyond your own nose and are interested in and committed to learn the ropes in this future-oriented sector.


  • Currently enrolled as a design student in at least the 3rd semester (communication, product, interface or interaction design or similar focus)
  • Good sense of design on screens and in animations, icons and typography
  • Conceptual thinking to create information architecture
  • Interested in the latest topics in interfaces, technological innovations, for example Microsoft Hololens, and product advancements
  • Good knowledge of Adobe CC Suite
  • Ideally, basic programming know-how (HTML 5, Unity), 3D know-how (e.g. Cinema 4D) and/or know-how in motion design (e.g. After Effects)
  • Fluent in German and English
One final note: Design students have the possibility to write their bachelor’s or master’s thesis in research and development with us.
