Junior / Trainee UI Designer [m/f/x]


We’re looking for a Junior / Trainee UI Designer for our office in Munich.

About the role

As a Junior or Trainee at icon incar, you work as part of our interdisciplinary team of user interface designers, information architects and creative technologists on automotive user experience design projects. We are a crazy bunch and live from our collective intelligence through exchanges, mutual inspiration and cooking together in our large kitchen.

You’d like to contribute something to our community, have a knack for designing great interfaces and are fearless when it comes to dealing with the digital world, agile prototyping and apps. You’re interested in the future of mobility, Internet of Things and other equally innovative topics. You’re curious, can see beyond your own nose and are interested in and committed to learn the ropes in this future-oriented sector.

Your abilities

  • Degree in design (communication, product, interface or interaction design) or comparable apprenticeship; first work experience is an advantage (for juniors)
  • Good sense of design on screens and in animations, icons and typography
  • Conceptual thinking to create information architecture
  • Interested in the latest topics in interfaces, technological innovations, for example Microsoft Hololens, and product advancements
  • Good knowledge of Adobe CC Suite, Sketch knowledge welcome
  • Ideally, basic programming know-how (HTML 5, Unity), 3D know-how (e.g. Cinema 4D) and/or know-how in motion design (e.g. After Effects, Flinto oder Principle)
